7 WEEKS

Sometimes it’s shocking to even think I am pregnant, let alone 7 weeks pregnant! Todd and I agreed that we would not tell anyone about the pregnancy until we had our first appointment/ultra sound (August 6th) just to ensure the baby is healthy and growing. Therefore, in attempting to keep it a secret, I tend to forget that I’m pregnant. Lol, that is until I get nauseous!
With J, I typically would only get nauseous in the early evening. Well this precious one seems to be all day whenever he or she wants to! I love being pregnant, but I sure hope this stops by the 2ns trimester or I am going to make Toddy pay! (With a nice piece of jewelry of course!)

Jayden and His Hilarious Antics

As we all know, Jayden is quite the entertainer! I wish I could capture more of his antics that have us giggling by the hours, but sometimes I am able to capture a few seconds! Tonight Jayden was illustrating his true shoe fetish by walking around in mommy’s heels. Thank goodness I got it on camera for you all to witness! (I just adore the kissing part at the end, priceless!)

Co-Sleeping?

Todd and I have been extremely fortunate that Jayden has adapted to his crib and been sleeping by himself since he was a little less than a month old. (We had him in a bassinet in our room for the first few weeks.) He adores his crib and we can always find him luxuriating in the mornings and when he wakes up for naps. It is rare when we is not ready for bed or not feeling good that he snuggles in bed with Todd and I.
Well last night just so happened to be one of those rare nights. I hate to admit it, but it was selfishly due to me! With being six weeks pregnant, I was dead on my feet. I couldn’t keep my eyes open another second! So when J refused to go to bed and was really fussy, I took him into the big bed with me. (I knew Todd would put him down when he came upstairs!)
When I woke up in the morning, it was to a text from my hubby with the following message and picture:
“”I see we’re co-sleeping now huh? Bad squirrel! LOL!” (Squirrel reference is an inside joke with the Pyles Family!)

Happy 4th of July!

What an incredible holiday! Our goal was to keep J Man as busy as possible, so we decided to start off the morning at Gatorland!

This was our first family trip and Jayden was in awe of the gators! Todd and I hadn’t been since we were kids, so we were looking forward to sharing this experience with J too! We met up with his best buddy from daycare, Xander, and his mommy and daddy. The boys were priceless and wanted to touch everything!

We watched the Gator Wrestling Show and took the Gatorland Express train around the park! Then we were off to the Gator Gully Splash Park so the little guys could cool off!

After an extremely tiring morning, the boys were asleep before we even pulled out of the parking lot! So precious…….

After Gatorland, we headed back to Clermont so we could get ready to host our family BBQ! Mom, Cathy, Memaw and Pa we’re suppose to come, but it ended up just being Mom and Cathy because Memaw and Pa had colds.  We were disappointed because we wanted to share the news of Baby #2 with the entire family! However, it was too suspenseful not to cave and tell Mom and Cathy!
We borrowed a Big Bro shirt from the Colavecchio family (I owe Catherine!) and dressed Jayden in it prior to him coming downstairs after his nap. Todd and I were dying with anticipation wondering how long it would take them to figure it out! We walked J down the steps and then he ran to Grandma. While she was giving him lots of kisses she said, “How cute are you in your Big Bro shirt!” It was quite hilarious since she didn’t clue into the significance of the shirt! Todd had to prep her by saying “What did you say Sharon?” Then her and Cathy began saying “Big Bro”……they thought Todd was out of his mind. Then all of a sudden my mom said, “Big Bro….Big Brother Todd!  (Like he was crazy!) What? You’re pregnant?!?!” Then of course there were lots of tears and hugs! Quite priceless! How I wish I would have caught it on video!

We had several appetizers and Todd grilled us some delicious hotdogs! Then we curled up and watched the Macy’s firework special on TV. Jayden was fascinated and sat on Grandma’s lap for at least thirty minutes! I couldn’t have asked for a better 4th of July! Hope you all had as great a day as the Shappard’s!

Jayden’s Going to be a Big Brother!

Tonight, Todd and I found out that we are going to be introducing another little bundle into our family next year!!! Taking the test and waiting for the outcome was one of the most exhilarating 3 minutes of my life!

Even though this is not our first time around the block, it seems just as exciting if not more! Daddy seems to think that he might be more excited because he will be able to enjoy the process rather than be anxious about the unknown! Either way, we are ecstatic and can’t wait for J to be a Big Brother!
We are truly blessed and we are counting down the days already unril our future son or daughter is born! As of right now, I am four weeks along and we anticipate having our little guy/girl by St. Patrick’s Day of next year! (My Grandfather will be very pleased to have another member of the family dressed in green!)

At four weeks, the baby is as big as an Orange Seed!
