The 8th Wonder of the World

Many of you have heard us joke about Jayden commandeering our I-Phones. This is because Todd and I have somehow discovered the 8th Wonder of the World: The I-Phone White Noise Application.

Our lil' guy loves noise, aka the hair dryer, to fall asleep to. As soon as I turned on the hair dryer he would immediately stop crying. So the amazing father that Todd is, he went in search of an application on our phone that could emulate the sound of the hair dryer and he found one.

So for the past month or so everywhere we went I would give Jayden my phone to keep him calm. He has had it in the stroller, car seat, swing, crib and in our arms sleeping! It got to a point that I couldn't even answer my phone when people called.

Lol, so what did our amazing Daddy do? He bought mommy a new phone yesterday and now Jayden officially has his first phone! (Without service of course!)

Today I heard the most beautiful sound, my son's first laugh. I thought seeing him smile was surreal,. Little did I know that he could give me an even greater gift. He brightens my day every time I hear that little giggle. Here's a little clip to put a smile on your face...

Play Dates

There’s something special you get to partake in once you become a mother: Play Dates! Jayden and I have had so much fun having play dates with his friends/my friends. He has two best buds close to his age, Cooper and Xander. Cooper is three weeks older than Jayden and is the son of one of my girlfriend’s from work (Tara).  Xander is six weeks older than Jayden and oddly enough he is the son of an engineer at Lockheed that Todd knew and I later became friends with during our baby class (Olivia).

It’s so much fun exchanging stories and watching the boys and their antics. Here are some shots from some of our previous play dates…….

Jayden's Announcement

Todd and I finally finished addressing all of the envelopes for Jayden’s announcements! I feel so horrible that we have not sent them out yet. The holidays slowed me down, but at least we’re getting them out! (That’s what I told myself so I wouldn’t feel so bad!) Our photographer helped me design the announcement. Hope you like!!

Two Month Check-Up

SHOTS! I have heard so many tales of a baby’s first immunization experience. From fevers to crankiness I was prepared for the worst! However, at his two month check-up today Jayden did so wonderful! He didn’t cry at all for the first shot. The second shot was the worst, but he only cried for 5 seconds. Lol, then he turned completely around and stared the nurse down! She was definitely not his favorite woman at the moment!

He weighed in at 10.14 pounds (25^th Percentile) and 22 ½ inches (25^th Percentile)!
