3rd Prenatal Appointment

One hundred and fifty-five beats a minute! This is what our baby’s heart beat was today during our 3^rd prenatal appointment. Our little wonder has now chimed in at 178, 160 and 155 beats a minute. Words can’t begin to express what an amazing feeling it is to hear that heart beat on the monitor. I can only hope that you have or someday will experience this miraculous event.

We made the official ultrasound appointment to find out the sex! We’re now counting down to June 11, 2010 at 10:00 A.M.!! Todd wants a little princess and I want a little Todd Jr. (I think we each chose the opposite sex to balance each other out!) However, all we want is a healthy baby!!

Introduction to Music

Jack Johnson “Better Together”, Jason Mraz “I’m Yours” and 311 “Love Song”. Can you guess what significance these singers/bands have? Not only are they a few of our favorite songs, but they are the first songs that our little munchkin heard! Todd has been patiently waiting to introduce his little one to music. As soon as he found out the baby’s ears were developed, he brought his headphones home from work and immediately started outlining his playlist!

Every night he plays a song for the baby while we are lying in bed. It is overwhelming to see the love in his eyes as he plays music for his child. He has already told me that he plans to make a CD of the music for the baby when it’s born. He thinks the baby will recognize the music and he/she can relax while trying to fall asleep. He is such a wonderful daddy already!!

Our First Home

Today we bought our first home! It is such an incredible feeling knowing that you have a home where your children will one day take their first steps! (Our little one is 17 weeks today…..23 more weeks to go!) I fell in love with our house or the “Dream Home” as we like to call it, as soon as I drove up for the first time.  The curb appeal was gorgeous and exactly what I had been dreaming of my entire life! It had beautiful stonework and columns in the front, as well as a balcony overlooking the street!

We were extremely fortunate to have found a home that our family can grow in. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and an office. The kitchen is to die for with its granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The floor plan is open and will allow our family and guests to gather in a large space. Yet the best part is the beautiful staircase going up to the second floor. When I was a young girl I would dream of dressing for my prom and gliding down the stairs to meet my date. If we have a princess, maybe one day she will be able to walk down the stairs to meet her date.

We are set to move in Saturday, May 29! I talked Todd into letting us hire movers, thank goodness! I am counting down the days, but until then, here are a few pictures to hold you over!
