Little Man's First Trip to Sea World

When it comes to being in a Mommy Play Group (Lockheed Martin Mom’s!) you tend to purchase the same recommended products. So why on earth would we stop when it comes to having FUN!! I somehow got talked into purchasing Annual Sea World passes for our family since the majority of the other mom’s have them. Todd and I were really excited since neither one of us has been to Sea World since we were in grade school and we both knew Jayden would absolutely adore seeing animals!
Today we went for Jayden’s first journey to the sea and he had the time of his life! We met up with Jayden’s girlfriend Emmy and her mommy Kristen. (Kristen is a fellow LM mommy!) The kids were so excited and to see each other! Love at first stroller sighting!

The first area we decided to hit was the stingray pool! I thought J would enjoy peering into the water and seeing them swim by. Lol, I had no idea he would squeal with laughter when his Daddy held him over the water and he could put his hands in! PRICELESS!

Since we hadn’t been to Sea World in ages we decided to roam around after the stingrays. We ended up at an aquarium within the Journey to Atlantis ride/shop. Jayden thought it was surreal because the aquarium was not only around you, but above and below you as well!
 J couldn't get close enough!

After the aquarium we were right next to the Seals and Otter show (Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island). Somehow Todd and I lost our marbles and thought J might sit through some of the show. As we sat down I already started mapping out our escape when he got fussy and wouldn’t sit still any longer. However, to my utter astonishment he sat through the ENTIRE show!!! After we left, I told Todd that it was the longest I had held J since he started crawling! Who knew I had to buy a Sea World pass to hold my son!!!

Yes, that is my son glued to the show!!! Unbelievable!

After the show I couldn’t wait to introduce Jayden to more animals! We decided to head over to the Wild Arctic exhibit where J and Emmy could see polar bears and beluga whales!
ICE!!

Todd loves his baby girls!

After we exited the Wild Arctic exhibit, there happened to be a little street show. Of course you know when music is involved J has to stop! Lol, he cracks me up!

Jayden and Emmy were still in happy moods (No fussiness!) after the Wild Arctic, so we thought why note attempt another show……..SHAMU- One Ocean!  J had me mystified once again because sure enough I got to hold my baby for another thirty minutes straight! What an incredible gift!

We had an extraordinary afternoon and had such a relaxing time with Kristen and Emmy! We can’t wait to do it again! Thanks for sharing this special day with us ladies!

Daddy’s up to his old tricks again!

As most of you know, Jayden is extremely independent and not scared of anything. One of his favorite things to do with Todd and I at the house is to hide and scare us. (Or at least he thinks he is scaring us!) He is then ecstatic when you turn the tables on him and try to scare him. My little man cracks me up when he continues to subject himself to being scared by Daddy!

Beeferoni Mess vs. Kisses!

Jayden will eat anything you put in front of him, but on days when I am exhausted I am hesitant to give him spaghetti like dinners! When Jayden eats spaghetti he ends up looking like a noodle when he is done! There is red sauce everywhere, which clearly means he is headed straight to the bathtub!
However, now that he can blow me a kiss while he is covered in red sauce it somehow makes up for it! I’m such a SOFTIE!

MORE!!

Have I told you how much I’m in love with Jayden’s daycare?  Well I am! They have done an amazing job loving, nurturing, stimulating and teaching J! I couldn’t imagine him being anywhere else than with his loving teachers!
Since I hold his teachers in such high regard, it did not surprise me with my little guy came home and started using sign language with us! His favorite sign is “More”, which he uses when eating. He also knows “All Done”. However, this is rarely used because he eats everything on his plate! He has such a serious face when he is signing. Lol I haven’t quite figured our whether it is because he is concentrating or if it is life or death if he doesn’t get one more puff!

Wine and Music Festival

Today was a gorgeous day for the Wine and Music Festival at Lakeridge Winery Todd, Jayden and I met up with the Arnold clan, as well as Uncle Nicky and Auntie Becca. The band was great and of course the laughs with our friends were even better!

(Man time!)

I also had a fantastic time meeting half of Clermont due to Mr. Jayden Shappard! Mr. Independent had the time of his life going up and down the rows of people introducing himself and giving high fives! He is such a ham and just cracked me up!
(Seems like there are always girls chasing after J Man!)

I don’t know if I have mentioned it before, but Jayden loves to DANCE! We play music all the time for him and he will stop and bust a move! So needless to say he was in his glory listening to music. He even went up to the stage to wave to the band! (He was trying to distract them so he could go take their tip jar!) They loved him so much that they gave him one of their drum sticks!! A groupie already….what am I to do!

Family Day at the Park

Toddy has been working extremely hard with both school and work, so I thought it would be nice to plan a fun afternoon at the park with my boys! Todd has never been to Park Pals, so Jayden and I thought it was our official duty to introduce him to the idyllic location! We showed him the little kids section, the big kid section and the boardwalk to the lake!
We had an incredibly time and enjoyed every little giggle that came out of J man’s mouth!

14 Months Old Today!

Time is flying so quickly that Todd and I didn’t even realize that J was 14 months old today until we were headed to bed! He is becoming a little man right before my eyes and it is shocking to see him problem solving and exploring.
I couldn’t think of anything better to share with you on this day than one of my most shocking moments yet.  Today Todd was attempting to put our Christmas decorations up in the attic and J watched him from the living room with me. Well before I could stop him and walked right over, stared up at his father and began to climb the steps of the ladder! I swear that if I did not stop him he would have made it to the top. I was just concerned that he would slip and bust his chin on one of the rungs. (Call me over-protective!)
Thank gosh I was able to capture this on video or you might not believe me that a 14 month old could climb a ladder!!!!!!!!
