Our First Beach Vacation with J

Two weeks ago my Dad invited us to Palm Coast for Jayden's first beach vacation! We had such an incredible time experiencing the ocean and beach through Jayden’s eyes. He adored the sand, water and pool! Our little adventurer has no fear!



We were lucky that his Uncle Emery and Auntie Marisa were able to come spend the day with him! Uncle Emery even had time to teach him high five!

Our condo was gorgeous and I spent every moment I could luxuriating!

 

I love my boys and I couldn’t ask for a better vacation!

Pulled Up – May 14, 2011

During our 2nd LM Playdate, Jayden surprised me by crawling over to Cooper’s carrier and pulling himself up to see him!  I was quite shocked! He only did it that once, so I thought for sure it was a fluke. Then the next morning when I went into the nursery to take him out of his crib, there he was big as life standing up smiling at me over the railing! How I love this kid!

First Word – May 22, 2011

Todd is working very hard to teach Jayden a few words. He always points to himself and says “Da Da”, to me and says “Ma Ma” and to Jayden and says “Jayden”.  Lol, I think he says Da Da more and does Ma Ma every 3rd time! Lol, just kidding! Todd’s hard work finally paid off. For the past week he has been saying da da da. I don’t quite think he knows what it stands for, so I am not throwing in the towel just yet! However, at the anniversary party on Sunday he waited until the family portrait was being taken and everyone was quite to blurt out Da Da. So now everyone knows!

Five Guys/French Fry – May 28, 2011

A little guy after my own heart! Today Jayden experienced Five Guys! I craved their burger and fries when he was in my womb, so it only seemed fitting that his first French fry should be at Five Guys!

Stood with Hands– April 18, 2011

I stayed home with Jayden when we were both sick.  Even though he was a little under the weather, he still was very active. He was a little fussy, so I thought it would be fun to give him a new outlook. I stood him up next to the couch and let him rest his hands on it. I slowly let go and miraculously he kept standing! He looked over his should and gave me a huge smile! What a dare devil!

Sat Up – April 21, 2011

I was entertaining Jayden while Daddy was gone. Grandma was on her way over and I thought it would be nice if she could see him playing with the toy she got him for Christmas. It’s an Alphabet train that lights up and sings. It is an incredible toy from V-tech that will help him learn his letters and he can also ride it and push it across the room. (When the time comes of course!) However, lately I have been laying him on his stomach so he could watch/play with it. So I thought to myself, ‘Why not be adventurous and see if he could SIT in front of it for the first time?” And sure enough he did! What a beautiful smile! He was so happy!

Crawled – April 21, 2011

So only my little man could possible go leaps and bounds in one day! Not only was he going to sit up for the first time, he was going to crawl too! Grandma was over and we were playing with him on the floor. Mom came over after work, so I thought it would be nice to have a few cheese and crackers out for her. As soon as I put them down, Jayden took off!! I have never seen him move so quick!! Fortunately I had time to get it on video.  My mom just kept moving the plate of cheese…haha! Only a Roddy/Coffey will crawl for food!!
